Web Design & Development
Alongside photography and video, I also design and develop websites. I focus on clean layouts, fast loading times, and user-friendly experiences that work beautifully on desktop and mobile. Most of my web work is for tourism, hospitality, and creative businesses that need clear storytelling and strong visuals.
What I do
I offer simple, practical web solutions rather than complicated, bloated builds. My strengths are:
-
Designing layouts that highlight your story and your visuals
-
Building responsive pages that look good on phones, tablets, and desktops
-
Creating clear site structures so visitors can find what they need quickly
-
Integrating bookings, contact forms, and simple lead capture where needed

Featured Project – Beyond Kanazawa
Project: Beyond Kanazawa
Role: Web Design, Web Development, Booking System Integration, SEO & Content Support
Site: www.beyondkanazawa.com
About the Project
Beyond Kanazawa is a Tour Operator & Destination Management Company based in Kanazawa, Japan, offering private tours, e-bike experiences, and curated regional travel throughout Hokuriku. The client needed a complete digital presence that introduced the destination, showcased their signature tours, and converted visitors into direct inquiries and bookings.
I designed and developed the website from the ground up, combining clean visuals, clear navigation, and detailed tour pages. The focus was on speed, responsiveness, and a booking flow that removes friction for international guests planning their trip to Japan.
Goals
The main goals for the project were:
-
Create a website that quickly communicates what Beyond Kanazawa offers
-
Provide clear tour pages with pricing, itineraries, and booking paths
-
Support both education-focused visitors and ready-to-book customers
-
Integrate booking systems to reduce admin work and eliminate manual invoicing
-
Perform well for SEO in multiple markets (English, Italian, Spanish, Chinese)
What I Created
The site structure is built around a strong homepage supported by dedicated tour category pages and detail pages. Each tour includes a short description, long description, itinerary highlights, inclusions/exclusions, what to bring, and FAQs to give potential guests everything they need before booking.
Key design directions included:
-
Modern, clean layout with large photography and simple typography
-
Mobile-first structure — most users browse from abroad on phones
-
Clear calls-to-action on every page for inquiries or bookings
-
Performance optimisation for fast load speeds despite high-resolution visuals

Technical + Booking System Work
Beyond design, the project required building the full booking ecosystem behind the website. I completed:
-
Bókun setup from scratch (supplier system)
-
Connected all tours, pricing catalogues, availability, and resources
-
Integrated booking engine into the website for direct sales
-
Added channel management for OTAs when required
-
Created custom workflows to reduce admin time for the business
-
Integrated Stripe and secure payment settings for international visitors
The goal was a system that looked premium to customers but was simple for staff to manage behind the scenes.
My Role & Outcomes
I managed the full digital build from concept to launch, handling both the creative and technical sides of the project. This included site layout and front-end design, copywriting support for tour pages and SEO, photo selection and optimisation, and the complete Bókun booking system integration. After launch, I continued improving performance through testing across devices and browsers and refining pages based on real user behaviour.
The result is a website that converts visitors into bookings more efficiently while reducing admin for the business. Guests receive all tour information up front, minimising the need for email back-and-forth, and automated payments remove manual invoicing. The site is built to scale and continues to expand with new destinations, added tours, and upcoming multilingual support.
Process
I keep the web development process simple, transparent, and collaborative. Every project follows four clear stages:
01
Discovery
We discuss your goals, brand story, audience, and what you need the website to achieve.
02
Structure & Design
I create a draft layout, homepage flow, and key page structure for feedback before building begins.
03
Development
I build the pages, integrate content, prepare images, set up contact or booking systems, and fine-tune for performance.
04
Launch & Refinement
Once live, we test across devices, monitor real user behaviour, and make small improvements to maximise results.
